Stellar Sights and Alignments//White Noise in a Shadow Box
Galaxy Musings, Extremes of Light and Darkness
Stellar Sights and Alignments
Still singing in a chamber duet. The paralleling
extreme sides reflex and reposition back
into the original socket. With a pair of carefully
placed hemispheres, gray matter yearns to think
deeper, reason through this and decipher
foundations of the Brain storm.
It becomes green-lit, crossed off lists of everything
waiting to be complete. This is how we remember.
Watching ourselves take inventory.
Wondering how we wound up toiling
within rain-wrapped cyclones passing
over low-slung clouds while Neptune-blue
foam whisks over a refrigerated lake.
Thought blocks talk, like bursting satellite speakers.
A monologue, erasing the need for explanation
like deep craters peppering the moon.
With clarity charged like a battery,
adventure sets alight emoting
and soul-searching with frequent energy spikes.
We’ll stay awake all night watching
stellar parades create
rare sights of alignment.
White Noise in a Shadow Box
Here is an example, a life-sized Chessboard.
Here is a landing point, where giants climb down
from their secret space. Emerging from behind
a mass of grey clouds wearing their bold thunder-head hats.
Mammoth-sized boots knock over pawns, bishops, and rooks
leaving them as toppled pieces spreading over an expansive
checkered transparency. A walkway constructed from
glossy mirror panes.
Perception intersects with these lines
of this sawtooth world, like a series
of revolving doors. A forever moment
where extreme thought squares slant
at an awkward incline. They are the tilt-a-whirl
gradient shifts. An unstable carnival light pattern
with rickety creaks and unexpected chatter.
Time hands go on from this, skilled
at perpetual movement. Blundering
and delaying, stowed within dark crevices
of the black box.
Silence brings a tender reprieve.
The breaths—fluttering
like wax dribbling down
cylinder faces of the candle.
It sounds as gentle
as the pulse of white noise.
